Engineering Precision and Performance for the Marine Industry

With extensive experience supporting the marine sector, we provide advanced manufacturing solutions for both prototype development and production requirements. Our UK facility offers a comprehensive range of manufacturing technologies and finishing capabilities, all delivered in-house to provide greater control over quality, lead times and production requirements.

Our capabilities include some of the most extensive in-house additive manufacturing capacity in the UK, alongside advanced polymer processing, CNC machining, finishing and specialist manufacturing technologies.

Additive Manufacturing for Marine Components

Our additive manufacturing capabilities are well suited to the demanding requirements of the marine industry, from one-off prototypes and development components through to low-volume and production parts.

Key technologies include:

  • HP Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) for the rapid production of strong, functional polymer components.
  • Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) for complex, durable components without the need for traditional tooling.
  • Carbon Digital Light Synthesis (DLS) for smaller, highly complex components requiring specific material properties comparable to engineering-grade thermoplastics.

Our latest investment in one of the largest SLS systems available in the UK provides a build volume of 600 × 600 × 600 mm, enabling large marine components to be manufactured as a single piece. The system is currently capable of processing glass-filled PA12, providing a strong and durable material option for demanding applications.

RIM Moulding for Large Marine Components

Reaction Injection Moulding (RIM) is an effective solution for producing larger, lightweight and complex components, particularly where traditional tooling or manufacturing methods may not be practical.

RIM moulding has been widely used for larger components within the marine sector, offering design flexibility and the ability to manufacture complex geometries efficiently.

Marine Industry Applications

Our experience includes the manufacture and development of components and assemblies for a wide range of marine applications, including:

In-House UK Manufacturing Capabilities

From marine prototyping and additive manufacturing to RIM moulding, CNC machining, specialist materials and finishing, our UK facility provides an integrated manufacturing service for complex marine components and assemblies.

Keeping these technologies and capabilities in-house enables greater control across the manufacturing process, helping to streamline development, reduce reliance on external suppliers and provide a responsive solution for both prototype and production requirements.
