ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING SERVICES: 3D PRINTING FOR PRODUCTION AND VOLUME MANUFACTURING
Produce complex, end-use parts faster, and at lower cost, with additive manufacturing, or 3D printing for production using Carbon DLS, MJF or SLS processes.
Polymer additive manufacturing, or 3D printing for production, processes such as Carbon DLS, MJF and even SLS are radically transforming supply chains. They enable better designs and faster design cycles. They’re driving down the cost of manufacturing by eradicating the need for tooling. They’re increasing operational efficiencies by enhancing quality and reducing risk of failure. Entire components, complete with moving parts, can be printed and sent straight to market.
We’d like to help you design better. We want to help you reduce costs and streamline production, and ultimately win the race to market.
We have invested in the latest and most efficient technologies to deliver the best solutions to your manufacturing needs. We collaborate with you at each stage of your product journey, helping you with design and materials challenges, and ensuring the outcomes are the best for you and your customer. We’ll make sure we deliver everything with exceptional levels of support and service.
Manufacture with Multi Jet Fusion (MJF)
Multi Jet Fusion (MJF, sometimes referred to as HP) 3D prints functional parts with impact resistance and ductility. Multi Jet Fusion is an advanced additive manufacturing process that prints approximately three times faster than Selective Laser Sintering (SLS). It is designed for scaled-up production.
We currently print with two materials:
- Biocompatible HP PA11 Nylon, a thermoplastic material made from renewable sources providing optimal mechanical properties and consistent performance
- HP PA12 Nylon, a more rigid, robust thermoplastic with very high chemical resistance.
Both materials possess high reusability. The results are ideal for medical, industrial and automotive applications.
Our MJF additive manufacturing suite is complemented with a host of rapid post-processing options, including PolyShot surfacing and colouring in over 100 biocompatible pantones.
Manufacture with Carbon Digital Light Synthesis™ (DLS™)
A true additive manufacturing process, Carbon’s Digital Light Synthesis™ (DLS) technology is up to 100 times faster than traditional 3D printing processes. Using a photochemical process, light is projected through an oxygen-permeable window into a reservoir of UV-curable resin. Designed for production at volume, the resultant parts are production ready, layer-free and have consistent, isotropic and predictable mechanical properties.
The Digital Light Synthesis™ technology was developed by California tech giant, Carbon Inc. Its continual production process enables multiple iterations of your design in one print. Prototyping turns into production without having to create tools. There are over 10 engineering grade resins to choose from, from robust, ecologically sound rigid polyurethanes, cyanate esters and silicones, to flexible elastomers and crystal clear medical grade thermoplastics. Because DLS was developed with production in mind, the more efficient we are with platform utilisation, the more economical it becomes for you.
Traditional 3D Printing Methods for Production
Paragon offers an array of 3D printing technologies in addition to those dedicated to volume manufacturing.
