Our Journey of Innovation

Paragon Rapid Technologies has grown from a vacuum casting specialist into a multi-department manufacturing partner, embracing new technologies while remaining committed to quality and innovation.

2003
Founded by Phill Adamson and Peter Humphrey near Teesside Airport. Purchased our first in-house SLA machine after a strong first year.
2006
Achieved £1m turnover, enabling investment in a second SLA machine and establishing Tooling and Casting departments for low-volume solutions.
2011
Introduced SLS capabilities with two 3D sinter stations. Following a rebrand, we won Best New Business for outstanding company performance.
2015
Upgraded to digital SLS technology, increasing print speed and capacity. Opened a dedicated CNC Machining facility to strengthen our engineering services.
2016
Established quality department with 3D scanning equipment and earned ISO 9001 certification, enhancing our position in prototyping and low-volume manufacturing.
2018
Installed three Carbon M2 DLS printers and the first NEO 800 setting up a dedicated additive manufacturing suite. Relocated engineering facilities to support continued growth.
2020
Expanded with HP MJF technology, securing a £1.2m orthotics contract and entering the robotics sector, gaining Disney-approved supplier status for entertainment work.
2021
Enhanced precision engineering capabilities with a CNC lathe, reaching over £750k in investments, and added a 4th Carbon DLS machine to our additive manufacturing fleet.
2022
Awarded HP Production Professional status, recognizing excellence in HP Multi Jet Fusion additive manufacturing.
2023
Celebrated 20 years, providing 13 services across three units and serving over 2,000 UK and international customers.
2024
Launched a new Thermal Management department, expanding our offerings to automotive and other industries.
2025
Integrated into the Global Precision group of companies, enhancing our capabilities and presence across the UK and China.
