What is the Peakyshielder?
- The Peakyshielder comprises a set of 3D printed clips and a PET shield. The clips affix the shield to the peak of a baseball cap, a sun visor, or the side panels of a bump cap, providing an alternative face shield to those commonly advertised. Face shields provide an additional layer of protection from airborne water droplets (spray).

- A normal face shield uses a (normally) plastic headband to hold it in place. The headband has been reported as uncomfortable, and in some instances may cause mild headaches and irritate the skin. The Peakyshielder attaches to your own cap or sports visor and doesn’t come into contact with you.
3. Is the Peakyshielder acceptable for use in a medical setting?
- The Peakyshielder is designed for personal use in non-medical settings. They are not a regulated personal protective equipment (PPE) product and therefore not intended for use in settings requiring the user to wear PPE to prevent germ transfer.
4. Can I wear anything under a Peakyshielder?
- The Peakyshielder should allow provide enough clearance for normal eyewear and a regular face mask
5. Can I re-use a Peakyshielder?
- The Peakyshielder is re-usable providing the recommended use and cleaning procedures are followed. Replacement packs of shields (excluding clips) are available
6. Is this a British product?
- The Peakyshielder is designed and manufactured in the UK from biocompatible materials
7. Do I need to order a different size of Peakyshielder for a big peak?
- The Peakyshielder is designed to fit most standard baseball caps or sports visors. If you require the Peakyshielder for a bump cap, you need to select the bump cap option. The Peakyshielder for a bump cap is a slightly different design
8. What are the benefits of the Peakyshielder?
- The Peakyshielder attaches to your baseball-style cap, bump cap or sports visor. It is ergonomically designed, ultra-lightweight and comfortable to wear. It can help protect the wearer from inadvertent face touching
